Roosevelt @ Columbia
The Roosevelt Institution is a student think tank. Our mission is to build a more progressive society. The society we envision is one governed responsibly, openly and democratically, one that provides a decent standard of living, access to education and individual agency to all of its citizens, and one that supports diversity, protects our shared resources and encourages mutual responsibility. We work to build a more progressive society by informing our campuses about public policy issues, and developing innovative policy ideas to engage legislators, inform media outlets and support activists. In the process, we educate ourselves about politics and prepare ourselves for a future of leadership and action.
Meetings: Tuesdays, 9pm Lerner Hall 569
Congratulations to the New Executive Board!
The Columbia Chapter of the Roosevelt Institution has six policy centers: education, equal justice, energy and the environment, foreign policy, health care, and labor. Each of these centers explore issues in their areas and works to create progressive policy solutions to these problems.
